Originally from Italy, Stefania Boiani showed a natural inclination for the arts at the early age of nine. She began her musical education at the "Gioacchino Rossini Conservatory" and later studied Fashion Design at the "Megaroni School of Art," focusing on pattern making and geometric drawing. As a teenager, the exposure to different cultures through the study of fine art and music enlightened Stefania with the wish to explore various countries and languages.
In 2012, after completing her degree in Foreign languages and Business at the University of Urbino, she was awarded an educational scholarship grant at Loyola University in New Orleans.
In 2014, Stefania discovered an innate talent and blossoming passion for floral design. Trained by AIFD Master Designer Paul Norman of Thibodeaux's Floral Studio, she now holds the position of Manager/Lead Designer. Thibodeaux's Floral Studio creates floral compositions and event planning which combine Paul's classic style with Stefania's new age approach.
Stefania's inspiration is deeply connected to her Italian heritage and her background in Fashion Design brings an architectural component to her creations. She enjoys the challenge of experimenting with mechanics and learning new techniques to create beautiful floral sculptures.
Stefania's latest work of art was displayed at the 2018 "Art in Bloom" exhibition at the New Orleans Museum of Art and featured in the May edition of The Florist Review Magazine.
She was recently awarded the 2017 AIFD (American Institute of Floral Designers) Scholarship for Symposium X in Seattle, WA. She has valued her time working alongside Master Designers René van Rems and Laurel LeMaistre.
